Pair of SJSH students published in Insights for poetry

Two of our senior students at SJSH won a national poetry contest for Polar Expressions and were published as a result.  In November, Mrs. Boissonneault encouraged her class to submit their best pieces of poetry to this contest.  Some of her students took on the challenge. She was notified that two of her students made it to the final stage in January-Ian Montgomery for his poem, "Inner Darkness" and Trista Hester for her poem, "Misery in This Eternity." She was then told that these students were going to be published in the book, Insights. They also had a chance to win some substantial money. In June, the book came out.  The students were notified that they did not win the big prize, but they are officially published writers.  That is a notable feat, in and of itself.
