Academic Awards Night

Children's Play Room at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice fundraiser

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall school community will be participating in a Mobile Giving Campaign to help raise funds for a Children's Play Room at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice. The Nipissing Serenity Hospice will be a residential hospice located in North Bay for people seeking end of life care in the Nipissing and District area.

BEARS DRAMA wins at the Sears Regional Drama Festival

BEARS DRAMA wins at the Sears Regional Drama Festival. They now head to Chatham, Ontario for the Provincial Festival May 10th to 13th. Students in the production also won an EXCELLENCE award for their acting performance. GO BEARS!!

Girls volleyball earns OFSAA Sportsmanship Award

The Senior Girls volleyball team earned the OFFSA Sportsmanship Award this past March at Georgian college in Barrie. They were picked out of 20 teams that participated at the AAA provincial tournament.

Senior Boys Basketball win NOSSA!

The Bears Senior Boys basketball team won AAA NOSSA Gold this past weekend. Wins over Widdifield and Confederation from Sudbury had them matched up against St.Mary's College from Sault Ste. Marie in the finals. It was an exciting finish with the Bears claiming the title! The Bears now move on to OFSAA here in North Bay from March 6-8. Good luck boys!

Sr. Boys Basketball wins NDA championship!

The St.Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears Sr. Boys Basketball team won the NDA championship in two straight games over the Chippewa Raiders. After finishing the regular season in first place, the Bears received a bye to the semi-finals. After defeating Widdifield in the semis, the Bears were matched up against the third place Raiders who had beaten West Ferris in their semi-final.

The Jr. and Sr. Girls Volleyball teams played in a tournament this past weekend hosted by Lasalle High School in Sudbury. Both teams went undefeated the whole weekend. The Jr. team beat MacDonald Cartier in the final game and the Sr. team beat Franco Cite in their final game.
