Jr. and Sr. Girls Volleyball Victories

The Jr. and Sr. Girls Volleyball teams played in a tournament this past weekend hosted by Lasalle High School in Sudbury.  Both teams went undefeated the whole weekend. The Jr. team beat MacDonald Cartier in the final game and the Sr. team beat Franco Cite in their final game.

This looks like a fantastic start to an exciting season!

Exams and Students with IEP

Any student with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) who wishes to write an exam in the Resource Room must reserve their seat in advance of the exam. To reserve a seat, students must register in person in Resource (room 146) no later than January 20, 2017.”

Students raise money for Santa Fund

The Entrepreneurship students ran a very fun day of bubble soccer to raise money for the Santa Fund. We were able to raise a total of $671.27 for the Santa Fund. Loads of fun and a good cause!

OSAP REMOVING FINANCIAL BARRIERS TO COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY

Applications are now open for college and university programs. The last date for university applications is January 11th. College applications for the fall term should be submitted before February 1st. 

Your child may benefit from financial assistance for postsecondary education from OSAP. If your family income is under $50,000, your child’s tuition is covered. Even if you earn more, the new OSAP is has grants that will make sending your child to college or university more affordable. To see whether you qualify for free tuition or other grants and supports from the province, we encourage you to find out more at ontario.ca/osap.

Jesse tree at Holy Name Church

For Ms. Lauzon's grade 11/12 religion class outreach project, 3 names from the Jesse tree at Holy Name Church were selected to support this holiday season.  The class ran a Loonies for Little One's Bake Sale.  The students raised $161 for gifts and food cards for parishioners for the Christmas season.
