Student Progress (EDSBY)

We are excited to inform you that we will soon be inviting the parents and guardians of our students to be a part of a new way to communicate and stay connected with your child’s progress at school.   Our new engagement program, EDSBY pulls together information about each of your children and presents it in a clear, easy to understand and comprehensive format.  You have the potential to see their assigned homework, their attendance and the specifics of what they’re being taught in each class.

The next step will involve inviting you into the classroom.  Because your username will be your email address, now is the time to ensure the school secretary has your current and correct email address.  EDSBY provides each parent with their own account, so for all parents and guardians, we encourage you to ensure we have each e-mail address.

When the time comes, you will be sent information by email to set up your account.  The auto generated password you will be sent may be customized when you sign up.  You can access EDSBY at any time by visiting our school website or logging in directly at .

SHAD VALLEY opportunity

Attention Grade 10, 11 or 12 Students interested in some Enrichment activities. Check out the SHAD VALLEY opportunity. This is geared to high school students who are looking for engaging enrichment activities . It is a pre-university experience, focused on Science, Maths, Engineering, and the arts.

4 very important points

  1. It cost nothing for the student to apply.
  2. Bursaries and scholarships are available. We know high achievers may be 'diamonds in the rough' and come from all backgrounds. We believe that there should be no barriers to ensuring all your students reach their full potential.
  3. Your students will get an opportunity to be with 50 other high-achieving students from across Canada for a month, living in residence at one of our host university campuses.
  4. Great exercise to complete the application to see if you are ready for university.

SHAD Presentation at SJSH is Wednesday November 4th, 2016 11:15- 11:45. Please sign up in Student Services if interested.
