To the Parents/Guardians of St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School
In October of 2016, we launched a new program to communicate and stay connected with your child's progress at school. We believe that better access to information about your own child will empower you to have richer and more engaging conversations at home which will ultimately assist your child academically. Our new engagement program, EDSBY pulls together information about each of your children and presents it in a clear, easy to understand and comprehensive format. You have the potential to see their assigned homework, their attendance and the specifics of what they're being taught in each class. EDSBY can also provide you with activity reminders as well as academic/group/team calendars. To keep you up to date with school news, there is also a newsfeed providing you with the latest news from our school. EDSBY also keeps everything safe and secure within the confines of our school district. There is no access from the internet, meaning that no one from the outside world is "allowed in."
We invite you to get involved! The teachers and students are now using this communication tool within the classroom. Parents were invited to join EDSBY in October and we are encouraging you to join if you have not done so already to stay informed. Because your username will be your email address, now is the time to ensure the school secretary has your current and correct email address. EDSBY provides each parent with their own account, so for all parents and guardians, we encourage you to ensure we have both addresses.
You will be sent information by email to set up your account. The auto generated password you will be sent may be customized when you sign up. You can access EDSBY at any time by visiting our school websitesjsh.npsc.ca.
If you have more than one child attending our school, you can use the same information to log in and see information for all of your children.
EDSBY also has a free app for all iOS and Android smart phones. If you're using a Blackberry, EDSBY works great within your browser as well. The power of EDSBY while using your smart device means you'll have access regarding school information anywhere, anytime.
