Appeal Process

Appeal Form Information Regarding Timetable Changes

Student timetables have been posted in Edsby. Timetable changes will only be considered for the following essential situations:

  • Post-Secondary Program prerequisite is missing from schedule
  • Missing course from current schedule (Example: A grade 9 student with only 7 courses)
  • Missing a prerequisite for a course that a student is currently enrolled in (Example: Student needs ENG3U before taking ENG4U)

How to make a change?

Changes must be made using the "Appeal Form.pdf"

Note: If required, hardcopies of the Appeal Form can be found in Student Services.

Simply completing the form will not result in the appeal being processed. Parental/Guardian signature is a REQUIREMENT.  The signed Appeal Form deadline is a week after the start of the school year.  Essential changes will be made in order of submission.  It would be to your advantage to forward a completed form as soon as possible to Student Services (Room 142).  We kindly ask that you physically submit the form., not digital copies. Please follow your current schedule until changes are confirmed.  We will communicate any changes via Edsby.  We kindly ask that you remain patient during this process as we strive to complete necessary schedule changes as soon as possible.  Incomplete Appeal Forms will not be considered.

We have included the “Master Timetable Listed By Grade, Semester & Period” below to help you with the process.  Please refer to this when completing the Appeal Form.   It is important that you include the section number with the course when completing the Appeal Form.

Our goal is to have all course changes for the entire school year (Semester One & Two) completed in September.

When can I meet with my Guidance Counsellor about my timetable?

It is essential that you listen to announcements regarding timetable change procedures.  We will be meeting with each grade separately.  Please have the Appeal Form completed before hand.

  • Grade 12 Students (September - First & Second Day of School)
  • Grade 11 Students (September - Second & Third Day of School)
  • Grade 10 Students (September - Third & Forth Day of School)
  • Grade 9 Students (August  - Orientation Day)

Will I have another opportunity to change my courses for semester two?
Essential semester two course change requests can be made the week after Christmas holidays using the same Appeal Form process as in semester one.  A reminder will be posted in Edsby.

Who is my Guidance Counsellor?
