Bears Musical Theatre Presents Young Frankenstein

Bears Musical Theatre Program Presents "Young Frankenstein"
Bears Musical Theatre Production - Young Frankenstein 2023

Musical Theatre students from St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School will be showcasing their theatrical talents on Thursday January 19th, Friday January 20th, and Saturday January 21st, 2023, as they present Young Frankenstein the Musical!

Guests will look forward to a night full of singing, dancing and laughter as the Bears Musical Theatre program performs the Mel Brooks classic. Young Frankenstein the Musical follows the story of Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, grandson of the legendary mad scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein, as he navigates his newfound inheritance into the family legacy. Frederick travels to Transylvania, meeting up with some familiar faces, while comedically following in the similar footsteps of his grandfather. Between the twists and turns of a story many have come to love, the Bears Musical Theatre program aims to captivate the hearts and minds of showgoers.

“I’m so excited to be back in front of a live audience for our production!” said Addie Caciagli-Rocha, a Grade 10 SJSH student playing the role of Inga “We have worked extremely hard since September to learn the show, and we want to share our success with our school, families and the community.

The production will take place in the Bishop Carter Auditorium at St. Joseph-Scollard Hall, and the cost will be $10 for entry and will be sold on site. The doors will open each night at 6:00pm and the show begins at 7:00pm.

“We are extremely proud of our student cast for the effort they have put forth this semester. Young Frankenstein is quite an undertaking for any theatre group to put on.” Music Director Brian Overholt added. “We feel our students are well prepared to entertain, so please come out and support the show!”
